Founders DKML 4 pack 355ml BottleHere you have what could be the first malt liquor worthy of a glass. Typically a slighted style, we thought we would class it up with a stay in the wood and a healthy dose of dry-hopping. A huge hit of corn gives this one a smooth sweetness while its time spent aging in bourbon barrels will give you reason to share. Be warned: this one's a pry-off, not a twist-off.
Alta Maria Chardonnay 2014
Hattingley Valley Sparkling Rose 2014Hattingley Valley's multi-award winning delicate and textural sparkling Rosé. Subtle and delicate in colour this is an elegant Rosé with an abundance of bright red fruit and fresh acidity, supported by fine toasty notes developed by ageing on lees in the bottle. Winemaker Will Perkins enjoys our Rosé with Cherrystone Clam Chowder served with freshly baked bread. 2014 was the best vintage to date at Hattingley Valley with near perfect growing conditions. The Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes were hand picked and gently pressed. Approximately 8% of the blend was fermented in 4-5 year old white Burgundy barrels and partial malolactic fermentation took place. The wine spent 5 months in tank and barrel before tirage where 2% of Pinot Précoce (having been vinified as a still red wine with a long cold soak prior to fermentation) was added to enhance colour, body and flavour. The wine spent at least 2 years ageing on lees in the bottle before riddling and disgorging with 8 g/L dosage, and a further 2 months ageing on cork before release.
Bitter Truth Orange Flower Water 4ozThis virginal blossom is both intense and perfumed like Juliet on bath day. Like Shakespeare's heroine, her flavor is natural and subtle. She marries delicate hints of orange zest and Seville orchards which honeymoon in classic drinks like the Ramos Gin Fizz and the Wallick - a Martini Cocktail variation. Too little and you'll never find 'the one' and too much and you'll have a suicide pact on your hands. The Bitter Truth Orange Flower Water is an essential, non-alcoholic water made out of bitter orange blossoms. A traditional ingredient for drinks and food in North Africa, Middle East and Mediterranean area. Tasting Notes: Very flowery and subtle. Natural, unobtrusive flavor of bitter orange blossoms. Slightly bitter.
The Prisoner Wine Company The Prisoner 2014 1.5LBold aromas of black cherry and plum are heightened by hints of oak and Madagascar vanilla. A soft and velvety palate of anise, dark cocoa powder and roasted sage lead into a dense finish with luscious tannins.
