On the palate, the wine offers both fruit-driven and savory elements with notes of plum, black cherry, fig, baking spices, leather, and the vaguest of hints of the volcanic ash upon which it is grown. Elegant fine- grained tannins complete this stellar example of 100+ year old vine Zinfandel.

The 2021 Zinfandel R.W. Moore Vineyard is cut from the same cloth, with red, blue, and black fruits as well as dried herbs, orange blossoms, and savory, spicy notes. It's a medium-bodied, elegant Zinfandel to drink over the coming 7-8 years.
