Juicy and ripe, with a still-compact feel as the core of fig and boysenberry reduction has yet to unfurl fully, but there's racy licorice root and anise notes in the background and good energy overall, so just give it the time needed. Best from 2022 through 2027.

Light, brilliant gold. Pungent aromas of dried lemon, peach pit and beeswax, along with a building floral nuance. Weighty but also energetic on the palate, offering creamy orchard and pit fruit flavors that pick up a spicy quality on the back half. Finishes broad and velvety, with a refreshingly bitter citrus pith note adding closing bite.

Notes of grilled plum and cassis preserves are shaded by scorched meat and bramble in this four-square Syrah. It's a ripe, penetrating wine, with bright acidity and fine, silky tannins that are immediately welcoming. This lovely introduction to the Northern Rhône is best enjoyed before 2024.
