Peju's 2021 Cabernet Franc offers up aromas redolent of tomato or tobacco leaf atop a base of black cherries. It's medium to full-bodied, firm, tannic and richly concentrated, with hints of black tea on the finish. Leave it alone for a few years before pulling a cork.

Dense and saturated, this bold, weighty wine wraps thick tannins around dark plums, black cherries and blueberries. It needs a juicy, fatty dish to pair with, such as pasta bolognese or a mushroom risotto.
