Rickshaw Chardonnay 2016
Rickshaw tapped a plurality of sources (pretty much all coastal) from Santa Barbara all the way up to Mendocino that enabled them to create blend that hits a number of buttons simultaneously. They were able to pull some richness from warmer areas and some structure and aromatics from cooler areas. The resulting wine is fresh and vibrant aromatically. On the palate the wine is forward tropical California fruit with vanilla, toast, all tied together with a fair bit of lemony verve. Rickshaw Chardonnay was fermented in tank and barrel (20%), and 6 months in French oak.
