Las Rocas Garnacha 2016
The destemmed but uncrushed Garnacha grapes used for the 2016 Las Rocas fermented in concrete tanks where it was kept for around ten months, while part of the volume matured for one year in oak containers of different sizes and ages. It's quite balsamic, with ripe fruit, powerful, with some grainy tannins that call for food. It has a traditional profile combining fruit and oak aromas and flavors, with some notes of shoe polish and graphite. There were 250,000 bottles produced.
