The 2020 Monica di Sardegna Perdera is remarkably pretty from the first tilt of the glass, wafting up with a delicate blend of wild blueberries, lavender and white smoke. It coasts across the palate with a tension-building mix of tart red berries and chalky minerals. This takes on violet florals and a slightly bitter tinge, finishing quickly yet clean. More follow-through would be preferred, but this remains a lovely interpretation of Monica.
