Enjoyable ripe fruit and earthy components. Full-bodied and medium sweet, with lovely ripe tannins. Finish goes on and on. Best after 2010. 3,700 cases made.

A fine, foursquare wine from one of the Symington-owned Port houses. It shows good tannins, delicious perfumed fruit and great ripeness. Along with this attractive fruit, there is an impressive streak of dry tannins which promise good aging.

The structured, ungenerous dark ruby-colored 2003 Smith Woodhouse Vintage Port offers a nose of tobacco, smoke, and black fruits. Its tannic character exhibits flavors of stones, black plums, blackberries, boysenberries, and hints of cigar box. Appealingly expressive yet firm, this wine softened slightly over a 4 day period, revealing notes of spicy molasses. It will be at its best between 2018 and 2028.
