The NV Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs Brut Obsidienne is 100% Pinot Noir and spent three years on lees. It has lots of musky white fruits, toasted bread, spice, and earthy mineral notes to go with a richer, rounded, textured style on the palate that still carries bright acidity. It should keep for a solid decade.

Disgorged in September 2017, the NV Brut Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru Obsidienne offers up aromas of fresh peach, warm spices, red berry fruit and dried flowers. On the palate, it's full-bodied, broad-shouldered and layered, with a refined mousse, a deep and fleshy core, ripe acids and a precise finish. It's a serious, vinous blanc de noirs from Vernenay and Verzy that should evolve nicely under cork.
