Cattleya Wines Alma de Cattleya Sauvignon Blanc 2019
|Region||California, Sonoma County|
Shows terrific intensity, opening with honeysuckle, pear and melon flavors, revealing a tangy side of Meyer lemon juice. Refreshing and fragrant through the finish. Drink now. 1,000 cases made.
Intriguing aromas of brine and nori wrap meet with grapefruit peel on the sea-inflected nose of this bottling. Wet stone and grass flavors join with guava on the complex palate.
There are 2,250 cases of the 2019 Sauvignon Blanc, a light-colored effort offering bright grapefruit and crushed citrus in a lightly textured, juicy, racy, almost steely style. It has wonderful fruit and a dry, crisp finish. Drink it over the coming year or two. This is all Sauvignon Blanc that was fermented and aged six months in neutral oak.
The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc offers gregarious scents of gooseberry, kiwi, candied lime peel and elderflower with a peachy core and rocky accents. The palate is bright, fresh and simple with a juicy finish. 2,250 cases produced.
