The Portuguese consider this to be their finest Port, and it is deservedly the best-selling and most expensive. Full-bodied, elegant, smooth and velvety; it has a long finish and a delicate freshness.

The light amber-colored 20 year old Duque de Braganca reveals an attractive, spicy nose, sweet, ripe, full-bodied fruit, and copious amounts of alcohol. It is one of the better 20 year old ports I have tasted. The Ferreira offerings reviewed in this segment are an uninspiring group of ports.

Very fruity for a 20-year-old. Medium- to full-bodied, with medium sweetness, and a prune and light caramel finish. Good but simple. Drink now.
