Bodega Calle Alberti 154 Malbec 2014
Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Alberti D.O.C. Luján de Cuyo Malbec is one of the few official appellation wines, with grapes exclusively from Luján de Cuyo. It felt a bit reductive and backward, and it needed time and air to come 'round. The palate was quite polished, with fleshy tannins and good freshness. It ends slightly bitter. 18,000 bottles produced.
Wine EnthusiastRoasted, woodsy, rubbery aromas are gamy and staunch, with berry notes interspersed. Grabby, rubbery tannins make for a rugged palate, while roasted plum and gamy flavors are a touch salty. A tannic finish doesn't change much.
