Cherry Pie Huckleberry Snodgrass Pinot Noir 2014
|Region||California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley|
Wine AdvocateThe 2014s, which will be released next year, all look strong and of similar quality to their 2013 counterparts. The fruit is ripe, the texture is terrific and they are gorgeous Pinot Noirs, but more on them when we get closer to release date. Sadly, the production of all of these Pinot Noirs is relatively small, just like the Cabernet Sauvignons, averaging 600-1,000 cases of each.
Wine EnthusiastFrom a vineyard site close to the Pacific Ocean, this bombastically rich wine is hard to resist, with its supple rose and lavender notes that grow more powerful on the palate. It leads with fleshy strawberry flavors, augmenting its ripeness with cardamom and chocolate touches.
Wine SpectatorStarts out supple and elegant, building to a focused beam of plum, blackberry, black olive and loganberry flavors. Gains momentum and persistence on the long, layered finish. Drink now. 500 cases made.
