Honig Bartolucci Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
|Region||California, Napa Valley, St Helena|
Wine AdvocateThe 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Bartolucci Vineyard from St. Helena is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 100% new French oak. The wine has a dense ruby/purple color, sweet, pure black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, medium to full body, supple tannins and complexity as well as elegance. This is a beauty and probably one of the strongest of Cabernet Sauvignons I have tasted from Honig. Drink now-2032.
Wine EnthusiastAn herbal undertone lurks beneath richer, layered concentrations of big tannin and toasty oak in this 100% varietal wine. Meaty and bold, it highlights the variety's ability to be extracted, fruity and nuanced in dried herb, cedar, graphite and sage.
Wine SpectatorWeaves together a complex mix of rich savory herb, mocha, tobacco leaf and dried dark berry flavors, leading to a firm, supple-textured finish. Not shy on tannic muscle. Drink now through 2030. 450 cases made.
