This wine benefits from the addition of 9% Oakville Cabernet Franc and tiny smidgens of Merlot and Petit Verdot. Together, they boost a thicket of rich red fruit, earthy dried herb and concentrated intensity-the tannins fine-grained and well integrated.

Red and black currants, green tobacco, and cedarwood all emerge from the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Calistoga, a ripe, medium-bodied, supple, nicely balanced Cabernet Sauvignon that's already drinking nicely. It should keep for 10-15 years in cold cellars.
