Elderton Ode To Lorraine 2014
|Region||Australia, South Australia, Barossa Valley|
Rich and expressive, with gingerbread and fresh cherry flavors at the core. Details of smoke, eucalyptus and cigar box work together harmoniously, bolstered by very polished tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot. Drink now through 2026. 1,500 cases made.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Csm Ode To Lorraine is youthfully mute at this early stage, offering a glimpse at blackberry and black currant notes with touches of tree bark, espresso, bay leaves and black pepper. Medium-bodied, the palate is taut with a good core of fresh, primary black fruits supported by firm, chewy tannins and finishing with gentle herbal notes.
