Wine EnthusiastDeep ruby red color with garnet shades. Warm, ripe on the nose, intense and of great refinement. The taste is complex, smooth, full bodied, lots of cherry notes and plum.

Wine SpectatorElegant and balanced, with supple tannins framing the flavors of juicy black cherry, singed orange peel, wild herb and Christmas spice. Drink now through 2022. 3,000 cases imported.

Wine AdvocateThis is Tommasi's bread and butter wine. The 2012 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico offers an authentic and predictable expression from one of Italy's most tradition-driven appellations. The wine opens to dried fruit aromas with black cherry and cassis at the front. Background tones include tar, resin, dark tobacco and spice. Next to its peers, Tommasi's Classico Amarone is thinner and less impactful. This vintage also feels medium in length.
