Chateau Cruzeau Saint Emilion 2014
|Region||France, Bordeaux, Pessac-Leognan|
Wine EnthusiastThe 30-year-old vines of this estate surround a 16th-century castle. The wine is ripe although with intense acidity at the end. Wood aging has added spice and has smoothed out the bright acidity and red-berry fruits. Drink from 2019.
Wine SpectatorA solid bolt of cassis runs along, picking up lively red licorice and briar notes along the way. Keeps a fleshy, slightly tarry edge through the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2020. 16,500 cases made.
