Taut, with a sinewy power to the dried cherry, coffeeberry and roasted plum flavors that feature notes of dried green herb. The tannins clamp down on the finish. Malbec and Cabernet. Drink now through 2024. 2,000 cases made, 500 cases imported.
Wine Advocate

The red 2015 Grande Reserve is a blend of 75% Malbec and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon that five years after the harvest feels very oaky, like a blast from the past: ripe fruit, generous wood and a soft and creamy texture that renders it a bit anonymous. It matured in French oak barrels, 50% of them new, for 18 months. For fans of oaky reds. This wine is consistent through the years. 20,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in October.
Vinous
- v87
A Malbec with 25% Cabernet Sauvignon from Vista Flores that spent 18 months aging in French barrels. The bituminous, extractive nose presents wood first before rose petals and tea as part of a green-ripe profile. Intense on the palate; the tannins, brought by both the wood and the skins, are firm and dry. Feels worn out by the aging process.
