Sleight of Hand The Spellbinder 2013

Sleight of Hand The Spellbinder 2013

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

The 2013 Spellbinder is a stunning blend sourced from some of the most sought after vineyards in Washington State. Elegant and full bodied, while still approachable, it boasts fresh fruit aromas, and flavors of black cherries, raspberries, and currants, with just a hint of cocoa and cedar from the older French oak barrels in which it was aged. The tannins are completely resolved, providing a plush textured finish, bouyed by the fresh acidity of the 2013 vintage. This wine is made to be enjoyed on its own or with food.

Wine AdvocateFunctioning as the second wine of The Conjuror, the 2013 The Spell Binder is a blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, yet also incorporates Syrah and other varieties. Aged 10 months in neutral oak, it has beautiful cassis, blackberry, spring flower, and lead pencil shaving nuances to go with a vibrant, forward, medium to full-bodied profile on the palate. It's straight up delicious and will drink nicely for 4-6 years. It's a killer value!

Wine EnthusiastFruit-forward and appealing, this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot displays aromas of black currants, black olive and fresh raspberries along with high-toned herbs. Flavors are sweet and plump with a squeeze of dry tannins.

Wine SpectatorFresh and inviting, with herbal green olive notes prominent against a lithe core of medium-weight blackberry and spice. Finishes with a savory cast. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best after 2017. 1,175 cases made.
