Goldeneye Ten Degrees Pinot Noir 2011
Wine SpectatorRich and full-bodied, notably dry and tannic, with deep, extracted dried berry, steeped black tea, forest floor and stemmy berry and espresso notes. Gains on the finish, with the tannins lending traction. Drink now through 2022. 578 cases made.
Wine Enthusiast Enticingly sweet aromas of toasted French bread and maple syrup lead to similarly rich flavors of vanilla, brown sugar and red cherry. The spicy, seemingly sweet character mostly comes from the oak barrels. It's very tasty, and it will be interesting to see if more of the fruit complexity that Pinot Noir fans love will come out with time.
