Wine AdvocateBig, rich and voluptuously styled, the 2012 Syrah is another wine that shows the vintage nicely. Medium to full-bodied, with fabulous fruit and texture, it boasts loads of plum, blackberry, licorice, singed herbs and hints of meat in its forward, very drinkable personality. I don't think it will make old bones, but it should continue to impress through 2020.

Wine EnthusiastThis appealing wine provides aromas of blueberries, mulberry, herbs and cream. Flavors show concentration and intensity, with a touch of bitterness that runs throughout and provides some distraction.

Wine SpectatorBroad and chewy, with a spicy edge to the red berry and roasted red pepper flavors, framed by grippy tannins. This has plenty to offer, but needs cellaring to soften the edges. Best from 2017 through 2022. 5,662 cases made.
