Gerard Bertrand Château La Sauvageonne Volcanic Rose 2015

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

Tender, pale bright pink with bluish tints, developing into more orangey hints over time. The bouquet offers up intense aromas of red fruit, blackcurrant and redcurrant as well as floral elements (violet and rose) and citrus notes (grapefruit). This wine has a delicate oaked dimension, developing into vanilla and gingerbread notes. Fresh, rich and unctuous on the palate.

Wine EnthusiastA blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Cinsault and 20% Syrah, this is a refreshing and well-balanced rosé. Though young and still somewhat tight right now, it offers bright notes of red cherry, strawberry hull and plum skin that are framed by hints of orange blossom, citrus peel and sweet spice. Silky in texture, with a mineral streak and ample acidity that results in a bright finish.

Wine SpectatorHints of white pepper underscore the wild strawberry, pureed peach and white raspberry notes in this creamy rosé, with mineral details following through on the lingering finish. Drink now. 7,000 cases made.
