The newest icon wine to hit Bolgheri's super Tuscan scene, Orma is a succulent blend of Cabernet Franc (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Merlot (40%) with plush roundness and softness throughout. Aromas include red cherry, spice, vanilla and blackberries. There are delicate mineral tones laced within and the wine delivers freshness and power.

Dark in color, with intense aromas of blackberry and black licorice, with hints of oak and an earthy undertone. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins, a long finish and a round, caressing texture. The debut wine for Sette Ponti from Bolgheri. Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Not imported into the U.S. Best after 2009. 1,000 cases made.

The 2005 Orma is a blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in French oak. This is a big, full-bodied offering loaded with black pepper, sweet plums, blueberries, spices, earthiness, and licorice. The wine reveals notable richness and concentration but its tannins come across as aggressive and lacking polish. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2015.
