Chamisal Stainless Chardonnay 2017 750mlThis complex wine exhibits classic varietal characteristics with aromas of ripe pineapple, fresh Gala apples, pear and candied lemon. The palate has a weight that belies its unoaked status with a rich entry of fresh citrus fruit that leads into secondary aromas of fig and mineral. Finishing clean and crisp with lingering acidity, the wine is fresh and vivacious with a dense mid-palate. This vintage proves that with the right grapes and winemaking, Chardonnay does not need oak or malolactic fermentation to shine.
Cave de Lugny Macon Lugny Les Charmes 2016 750mlClear and shiny goldish yellow, with green hints when young. Nose is fresh and fruity with notes of flowers and fruits (nuts, honey, acacia and citrus). Medium-body, packed with delicate flavours of fruits with a slightly spicy finish. This wine benefit from the best of the appellation and stands out of the range of Mâcon-Villages, with a style close to the Crus du Maconnais. Enjoy ideally at 10-12°C with apéritifs, tapas, salmon. Fish, seafood, verrine, sushis. Poultry. Our suggestion: Roast chicken with bread sauce, game chips and stuffing. Ready to drink; this wine can age 3 to 5 years according to the vintage.
Harken Wines Barrel Fermented Chardonnay 2018 750mlThis rich Chardonnay exhibits a classic profile of tropical fruit and Bosc pear alongside warm oak aromatics. The luscious palate suggests crème brûlée and buttered toast, and finishes with fresh acidity.
Heitz Cellar Napa Valley Chardonnay 2016 750mlOur Chardonnay continues to be crafted with balance and acidity, focusing on its true varietal characteristics. The nose of the 2016 Chardonnay begins with hints of Meyer lemon, pineapple, and freshly baked sweet apple tarts. The fresh fruit aroma is complemented by subtle notes of toasted hazelnut, honey suckle, and white floral characteristics. Its fresh, bright acidity pleases the palate while balanced by a smooth richness that we obtain through sur lie aging. Blending chardonnay fruit from our estate Trailside Vineyard in Rutherford and fruit from Oak Knoll AVA, all the classic chardonnay elements marry together in balance. The rich, ripe fruit character from the warmer Rutherford vineyard combined with the crisp, light acid in the grapes from the cooler Oak Knoll vineyard is what makes our Chardonnay unique. The new French oak gives the wine vanilla and baking spice flavor without overpowering the varietal flavor.
J Vineyards & Winery Multi Appellation Chardonnay 2017 750mlThe wine opens with concentrated, complex fruit notes of anjou pear, golden delicious apple, mandarin orange, meyer lemon and ripe tangerine. These bright fruit notes blend seamlessly with rich hints of crème brûlée, toasted hazelnut and Tahitian vanilla, giving the palate depth and contrast. Crisp acidity is carried throughout, structured with a kiss of toasted coconut and caramel toffee on the long, full finish. Pair this exceptional chardonnay alongside chicken pot pie with celery root, roasted parsnips, rutabaga and turnips, or with a fire and ice ceviche. For a cheese pairing, try this with baked brie with persimmon chutney.
Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs 2016 750mlThis 2016 Blanc de Blancs has bright aromas of ripe green apple, Bosc pear, sweet spice and buttered brioche, which intermingle with hints of fresh ginger, stone fruit and coriander. Honeycrisp apple, grilled lemon, and orange peel bring fruitful notes to the mid-palate, ending with a clean crisp acidity that's punctuated with caramelized and tropical flavors. While this wine can be enjoyed by itself as an apéritif, it is perfect with fresh oysters and other shellfish, crab cakes, ceviche and grilled sea bass. It is also delicious with lemon chicken and Thai curries. Serve with aged Gouda or other hard cheeses, and as a counterpoint to soft triple creams.
