Chateau Lafleur Gazin Pomerol 2010
|Region||France, Bordeaux, Pomerol|
|Brand||Chateau Lafleur Gazin|
Wine SpectatorOffers a fleshy, corpulent feel, with mouthfilling plum, melted licorice, fruitcake and linzer torte flavors layered and pumping through the broad, well-toasted finish. A not-shy style, showing a bit of punch on the finish alongside plenty of length and depth. Best from 2014 through 2024.
Wine AdvocateAlways a somewhat rustic style of Pomerol, the 2010 merits one of the highest ratings I have ever given this vineyard. With considerable opulence, a chocolate, mocha, black cherry and berry spectrum of aromas and flavors, medium to full-bodied and a macho, masculine feel to it, this wine has more finesse than normal, but never loses its relatively powerful, chunky style. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.
Wine EnthusiastSmoky flavors give the fruit a firm feel, with the black currant juiciness somewhere in the background. The wine is dark and tannic, dense and austere.
