Roco Winery Gravel Road Pinot Noir 2018
|Region||United States, Oregon, Willamette Valley|
Vivid magenta. Perfumed red berry, cherry and floral scents are complemented by smoky mineral and spice flourishes that build in the glass. Sweet and energetic on the palate, offers raspberry, cherry, spicecake and candied rose flavors that open up slowly on the back half. Finishes long, smooth and floral, with slow-building tannins adding framework and gentle grip.
This is a fine value and widely available (for Oregon Pinot). Rhubarb and strawberry fruit flavors roll into sweet red cherry, lightly spiced. The medium-long finish is textured and balanced, the tannins smooth and lightly toasty.
Tightly focused, this offers polish and structure, with layered raspberry and cherry flavors, laced with stony mineral and green tea notes and finishing with refined tannins. Drink now through 2028. 6,900 cases made.
