Patz & Hall Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2014

SKU 30356

The 2014 vintage offers a complex, layered expression of Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir with inviting aromas of warm cherry cobbler, butter crust, cinnamon, clove and Mexican chocolate, as well as hints of menthol and fresh leather. On the plate, this wine is smooth and elegant, with creamy tannins supporting abundant layers of sweet, pure fruit. Bright acidity provides an energetic note that supports the rich flavors while adding length and focus to the finish.

Wine EnthusiastThis wine astounds in big, juicy waves of jammy cherry, strawberry and forest floor, its fruit sourced from Gap's Crown, Dutton Ranch, Goldrock Ridge and Jenkins vineyards, among other sites. Textured and layered, with powerful force, it shows richness and concentration but also fresh acidity.

Wine AdvocateWhile their generic cuvée, the 2014 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast, comes from multiple cool-climate sites, the wine offers Burgundian, earthy forest floor notes, with hints of red cherries, pomegranate, raspberry, a touch of earth, underbrush and forest floor. Vibrant red fruits dominate in this elegant, medium-bodied style. This is their largest cuvée of Pinot Noir at 11,300 cases. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.
