Rozes Tawny Port 1994 10 year old
We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.
Tawny Port is know as the "classic" Port wine. It is aged in oak casks for at least 3 years. The more it ages, the more its red color takes on orange highlights and the more its mellow qualities and finesse intensify. Tawny Port with age indication is a superior quality wine produced by blending different vintages, which enables complementary organoleptic (taste) characteristics to be present in the wine. It is raised in oak for variable periods. The age shown on the label represents the approximate average age of the different wines in the blend and indicates the personality that the wine has acquired during the aging process in casks or hogsheads. So, a 10 year old wine reveals the typical color, aroma and flavor of a wine that has spent 10 years in oak casks.
Rozes has always supplied the French market with inexpensive Port. But it is also able to produce some more serious aged tawnies, such as this fresh, ripe, fig-flavored wine.
