Bunches of Sangiovese grapes, picked by hand, are vinified by the traditional red wine method with a long period of maceration. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for a long period, followed by a proper refinement in the bottle. It is dark ruby red in colour, with a rich and complex bouquet and predominant hints of jam and notes of vanilla. It has a full-bodied, austere and sapid flavour, with an elegant aftertaste of wild berries and toasted almonds.
