Wine AdvocateThe 2016 Beaujolais-Villages is an appreciable step up over Jadot's regular Beaujolais, and it's a very attractive wine, opening in the glass with notes of ripe cherries, pomegranate, subtle licorice and dried herbs. Hearty in style, on the palate it's medium to full-bodied, with good concentration and depth at the core, framed by some youthfully chewy tannins and underpinned by succulent acids. For the exceedingly modest tariff it commands, this is really quite serious and I'd be inclined to give it another 6-12 months in the cellar before pulling corks.
Wine EnthusiastThis wine has some structure, with an edge of dryness that highlights the ripe red fruits and acidity. A fruity wine from one of the top Burgundy producers, it is ready to drink now.
