The 2018 Malbec Uno comes from the Uco Valley and spent 10 months in French and American oak. Purplish red in hue. The nose presents clear fruity notes including plum and blackberry alongside floral aromas. On the palate, it's juicy and energetic with mild tannins. Its strength derives from a lick of alcohol that lights up the flavors.

Notes of dried mint and sage accent the concentrated dark plum and Asian spice flavors. Shows hints of hot stone and underbrush on the ripe finish. Drink now through 2023. 60,000 cases made, 42,000 cases imported.

I noticed the freshness of the vintage in the 2018 Uno Malbec compared with other wines from 2017 that came from the winery that I tasted next to it. It's primary, clean, expressive and open, ripe without excess, quite aromatic and fruit-driven. It has a juicy palate with primary flavors and light oak. One million bottles produced.
