Birichino Petulant Naturel Malvasia Bianca 2018Fementation of highly aromatic malvasia bianca grapes presents the opportunity to mimic the perfumer's alchemical art, opening the doors of perception to the gentlest effects of olfac-tory psychedelia. What if we are then to referment our already kaleidoscopic malvasia bianca with more of the same juice, this time under pressure, and ignite the fifth dimension of umami- releasing lees, and unleash it on the palate with the bubbly buoyance of effervescence? Sunlight becomes bud becomes shoot becomes flower becomes grape becomes jasmine becomes apricot becomes lychee becomes citrus pith becomes うま味. Serve sufficiently chilled, and gently turn the bottle upside-down for 20 seconds to resuspend the lees. Amazeballs.

Cardedu Cannonau di Sardegna Caladu 2016'Caladu' is the Sardinian word for sunset - one of the many times when you can enjoy this wine. It's spicy and smoky, with fleshy fruit and dusty tannins. It matches especially well with grilled meats - flank steak, sausages, pork ribs, lamb lollipops - or in Sardinia, with the local roasted suckling pig called porceddu.
Cantine Monfort Casata Monfort Blanc de Sers 2017Straw yellow tending to golden. Bouquet and palate fresh, flowery, a hint of ripe citrus fruit with a light final smell of sage. Chateau Musar Jeune Blanc 2018Lemon color. Pears, lime and pineapple on the nose - there is also a hint of jasmine. Tropical fruits, quince and lemon zest and it has a long fresh finish with balanced acidity.
Chateau Musar Red 2010It is a deep, rich garnet colour with aromas of raisins, cedar, prunes and cinnamon. The 2010 is a savoury, herby wine with delicate spices and the raisiny, figgy aromas follow through to the palate. This is an elegant vintage with fresh acidity and a long, dry finish.
Chateau Musar Jeune Rosé 2018Bright coral color. Bursting with red and orange fruits - strawberries, tangerines with a hint of spice and salinity. Nectarines, tangerines and strawberries and cream dominate the palate with a saline minerality. There is a nice acidity and freshness to this wine and a long lingering finish.
Chateau Musar Jeune Rouge 2017The Musar Jeune Red 2017 is fresh, vibrant, fruity and soft with plenty of ripe red and dark fruit and a hint of sweet spice. The tannins are gentle and the finish smooth. It's perfect for immediate drinking but also has years of aging potential. Lamb, beef dishes, mature and hard cheeses, Moroccan tagine and spicy Asian dishes.

Domaine de l'Oratoire St-Martin (Alary) Cairanne Haut-Coustias Blanc 201440% Marsanne, 40% Roussanne, 10% Clairette, 10% Grenache Blanc. Estate vineyards are located in the northeastern part of Cairanne, on a series of hills locally referred to as the “mountain.” Soils are a unique mix of clay and chalk. The lieu-dit ‘Haut Coustias’ faces full south. Vine age 70 to 90 years. Hand-harvested. Fermented on indigenous yeasts in demi-muid. Marsanne and Roussanne are aged in demi-muid; Clairette and Grenache Blanc are aged in tank. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Floatsam & Jetsam CinsaultThis wine is made from dry farmed bushvine parcels with an average age of around 240 years divided by 6. We tend to pick Cinsault relatively early. Up until now we've always used 100% whole cluster fermentation, with very gentle extraction work, if any. This philosophy accounts for the wines being quite "light and bright". Over-ripe and over-extracted Cinsault can be lead-footed and syrupy. Maturation in neutral oak and in tank. Future vintages will be matured in cement tanks.

Gernot Heinrich Zweigelt 2015Punctiliously perceptible warmth and the pleasant sense of comfort in the shape of Bing cherry is the essence of this Zweigelt. Clear, streamlined varietal typicity is expressed with abundant dark berried fruit that mingles with the freshness of sour cherry, mischievous pepperiness of lingonberry, and voluptuous Black Forest cherry cake. Analogous to the vintage, it presents itself full-bodied and of welldisposed ripeness with a firm, yet fine-boned tannin frame and a touch of fat on the ribs. Serve at 15-16° C (59-61° F) to allow the ample fruit free rein.

Gönc 6 Blaufrankisch 2017This wine grows on gravel stone which presents very hard conditions for the vine. As a result, there is a small yield from the vineyard and highly concentrated juice from the berries. The tannins are spicy and sweet while on the nose you get ripe blueberries and blackberries with a hint of middle eastern spices. Fun fact: Blaufrankisch is a Slovenian indigenous grape variety with a German name.
