Tilia Chardonnay 2014
Wine SpectatorA fruity white, with plenty of buttery notes to the ripe apple and baked pear flavors. Spice and cream accents make for a luscious finish. Drink now. 12,000 cases imported.
Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Chardonnay feels like a younger version of the 2014, with subtle smoke, some spices and yellow plums, very much a Chardonnay. 20% of the wine went through malolactic fermentation and matured in contact with wood for five months. The medium-bodied palate is fresh, has a nice integration of all the components: This is a fresh wine, the grapes are harvested quite early during the month of February, which in 2014 was quite rainy and cooler than other years. 100,000 bottles were produced.
Wine EnthusiastGeneric pear and apple aromas are simple but good. This wine runs light on oak and feels juicy and correct. Flavors of apple, pear and vanilla turn more briny and salty on the finish, which circles back with sweetness as it fades away.
